1. Data controller

GiaNet Media di Giannetta Francesco (VAT IT04410590758), registered office at via Canonico Martire Schito 13 — 73028 Otranto (LE), Italy, as data controller, provides this notice under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.

No Data Protection Officer has been appointed: this processing does not fall within the cases where Article 37 of the Regulation makes it mandatory.

2. What this site is

Salento DinAmico publishes a territorial development plan written in 2009 and hosts a forum where that plan is discussed. The site sells nothing, takes no payments and offers no subscriptions.

The pages of the plan can be read without registering and without providing any data. Personal data only comes into play if you choose to join the discussion.

3. What data is collected

• Email address, when you register to take part in the forum and to verify the address itself.
• Display name shown next to your messages: you choose it, and it may be a pseudonym.
• Published content: discussions, replies, votes on proposals and any abuse reports.
• Technical data recorded by the servers to run and defend the site: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type.
• Technical cookies, described in the Cookie Policy.

No data belonging to the special categories of Article 9 of the Regulation is collected, and you are asked not to include any in public messages.

4. Why it is processed

• To let you take part in the forum: identify who is writing, show their messages, let them follow a discussion.
• To deliver the code used to sign in, and to verify the address.
• For the security of the service: preventing abuse, automated posting and intrusion attempts.
• For moderation: assessing reports and, where needed, taking action.
• To comply with legal obligations, where they apply.

There is no profiling, no automated decision-making producing legal effects, and data is never used for advertising.

5. Legal basis

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b): taking part in the forum and managing access.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f): site security, abuse prevention and technical logs.
• Consent (Art. 6.1.a): loading videos hosted by third parties, and device notifications if you enable them. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c), where the law requires it.

6. Published content is public

Forum discussions are visible to anyone visiting the site, including people who are not registered, and can be reached by search engines. Each message shows the display name you chose; your email address is never published.

7. Who the data is shared with

Data is neither sold nor traded. Only the providers needed to run the site are involved, acting as data processors:

• Hetzner Online GmbH — the machines hosting the site, in Germany.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — the network that delivers pages and filters hostile traffic.
• The email service used to deliver verification codes and service messages.

When you play one of the embedded videos, the player is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook), which receives the data needed for playback and acts as an independent controller for its own processing: please refer to its own privacy notice.

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of the providers listed may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or on an adequacy decision, with the safeguards required by Chapter V of the Regulation.

9. How long it is kept

• Account data: for as long as the account is active; on closure it is deleted or anonymised.
• Published messages: they remain while the discussion stays published, because they are part of a collective debate; on request they can be removed or anonymised.
• Address verification codes: a few minutes, the time needed to use them.
• Technical logs: as a rule no longer than twelve months, except where needed to establish an abuse.

10. Your rights

You may at any time request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15-22 of the Regulation). Requests go to [email protected] and are answered within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — garanteprivacy.it).

11. Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in clear text, and sign-in with a device key (passkey) is available, which uses no password at all. Data is stored on servers in the European Union, with access limited to authorised people.

12. Minors

For information society services, Italian law sets at fourteen the age at which a person can validly consent to the processing of their own data (Art. 2-quinquies of the Italian Privacy Code, introduced by Legislative Decree 101/2018, using the option granted by Art. 8 of the Regulation). Below that age, processing is lawful only with the consent of a person holding parental responsibility.

If you become aware that a child under fourteen has provided data without that consent, report it to [email protected]: the data will be removed.

13. Changes

This notice may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest revision; significant changes are announced on the site.
