The project idea was born and developed over time, from discussions that took place on various occasions with friends of different backgrounds. The project aims to respond to the specific needs that emerged from discussions with young people between 20 and 40 years old, university students, graduates, postgraduates, researchers, university assistants, athletes from all countries of the Puglia Region and Erasmus students, from the University of Salento, workers, laborers, freelancers, entrepreneurs. The project was summarized and written in the first months of 2009.
The vision
The project aims to realize a cosmopolitan and avant-garde territorial vision, in order to eradicate the disparities of a lethargic development, which slows down a geographical increase in the political, social, cultural, energy, industrial, agricultural, tourist and institutional sectors.
What has become of it, sixteen years later
What you have read so far is the 2009 text, as it was written back then. The document was put online with a forum under each chapter, collected some discussions among those who were there, then life went on and the site remained still. It wasn't a decision: simply nobody opened it again.
In the meantime, some of those proposals actually happened, without anyone putting them in order. Municipalities started managing together what each one was doing on their own, starting with waste. The first energy communities were born. An abandoned property became a place for the community. The PNRR construction sites brought to life works that in 2009 were just lines in a document like this. Other things didn't: the municipal borders are still the same, and those without a car move around like back then.
In 2026, the plan was taken up again. The chapters were rewritten where time had overtaken them, and left intact where they still made sense; the original text was not deleted but placed on its own page, available for consultation in its entirety. And the discussion was reopened, because a plan that nobody discusses is a dead document.

L'idea progettuale, nasce e si sviluppa nel tempo, da discussioni avvenute in varie occasioni con amici di diversa provenienza. Il progetto vuole dare risposta alle esigenze ben precise emerse dalle discussioni di giovani di età compresa tra 20 e 40 anni, universitari, laureandi, neolaureati, ricercatori, assistenti universitari, sportivi provenienti da tutti i paesi della Regione Puglia e studenti erasmus, dell'Università del Salento, lavoratori, operai, liberi professionisti, imprenditori. Il Progetto viene sintetizzato e scritto nei primi mesi del 2009.
La visione
Il progetto tende a realizzare una visione territoriale cosmopolita all’avanguardia, al fine di debellare i dislivelli di un letargico sviluppo, che decelera un incremento geografico nei settori politici, sociali, culturali, energetici, industriali, agricoli, turistici ed istituzionali.
